You can buy from anywhere in the world by clicking
on the picture links to amazon.co.uk.
But if you're in the UK, why not keep your local bookshop
in business? If they don't have a book, they'll order
it fast enough. And it will encourage them to stock
more of that book (which is great for me).
In the UK, you can find your nearest independent bookshop
with localbookshops.co.uk.
There, you can check for stock in a shop near you, order
books, or even buy online if the shop has its own website.
You can also order these books at your library
- librarians love requests.

Title: Puppy Love
Author: Anna Wilson; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Macmillan
Children's Books, UK, 2008
ISBN: 978 0330452892 (paperback, RRP £4.99)
I love the designers of this book. Not only did they
make a brilliant cover with hardly any work from me,
but the inside pages are full of my black and white
illustrations, presented in a lively way that breaks
up the text and makes this fun story even more attractive
for young girls.

Synopsis:
In my life I have wished a million thousand
times for a puppy, so was officially over the moon when
I finally obtained Parental Consent to get Honey - the
most absolutely softest and velvetest Golden Labrador
you have ever imagined. Since she moved in we have had
some extremely funny adventures while dealing with my
weird sister April's frankly unfortunate love crush
on Honey's vet. It has all been rather manic but luckily
I am an expert in De-Fusing the Tension and Staying
Ahead of the Game when it comes to this sort of situation,
as you will see. This is the first book in a precisely
charming new series about me and Honey. |

Title: Pup Idol
Author: Anna Wilson; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Macmillan
Children's Books, UK, 2008
ISBN: 978 0330452890 8 (paperback, RRP £4.99)
Read a review
Synopsis for this 2nd book in the series:
I hope everyone out there will know
by now about how I, Summer Holly Love, finally persuaded
my mum to let me have a wonderful golden Labrador puppy
of my own named Honey. (If you are not aware of this,
you can read all about it in "Puppy Love",
a fascinating and frankly gripping account of the said
event.) Anyway, things have moved on since those early
days of dog-ownership. Honey went through a bit of a
difficult phase recently, developing a taste for shoes
(mainly flip-flops) and terrorising dinner guests. So,
to help her through her awkward adolescence, I dutifully
(and brilliantly) trained her at obedience class and
in the garden. And, hurrah! Honey's amazing talents
shone through just in time for our school talent content,
where we performed our 'Pup Idol' star act - and became
famous celebrities in our own right! |

Title: Puppy Power
Author: Anna Wilson; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Macmillan
Children's Books, UK, 2008
ISBN: 978-0330452915 (paperback, RRP £4.99)
Read a review
Synopsis for this 3rd book in the series:
Life has been a bit Yawnsome since I, Summer Holly Love,
trained my golden Labrador, Honey, to become a Doggy
of Well-Behaved and Quietish Proportions. Which is why
it's so faberoony-tastic that Honey is expecting her
'very own litter' of pups! Now that she is a mum-to-be,
her eating habits have gone loop-the-loop crazy, and
she keeps building Strange nests all over our house.
Meanwhile, I am having to sort out my sister's Love
Dramas with her boyfriend, Nick the vet, who has been
spending rather a lot of time with his new nurse, Felicity
Shufflebottom. Will the arrival of Honey's tiny pups
make everyone happier or will our household simply dissolve
into Mayhem and Chaos?

Title: The Student's
guide to Exam Success
Author: Eileen Tracy; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Open
UniversityPress, Buckingham, 2002
ISBN: 0 335 20726 X (paperback) or 0 335 20727 80
(hardback)
There is also a Korean edition.
It might look like nepotism, and it is. The author,
Eileen Tracy, is my sister. The student's guide
to exam success is a must for teenagers and adults
who think they need to cram their heads full of stuff.
Eileen taught me her approach when I embarked on some
new studies, and it made learning of a very dull subject
fun and efficient. Far different from what I'd done
in my previous, long and painful academic years.
Oh, and I did the illustrations on the cover and inside.
So this book just has to be incredibly good.
Available from UK bookshops and online shops.
