How to buy some of the books I've written or illustrated

You can buy from anywhere in the world by clicking on the picture links to amazon.co.uk.

But the best way, if you're in the UK, is to use a bookshop. They might well have these books, otherwise they'll get them for you fast. Why is that the best way? It keeps the bookshops in business for us to browse in, and it encourages the bookseller to stock more of that book (which is great for me). In the UK, you can find your nearest independent bookshop with localbookshops.co.uk. There, you can check for stock in a shop near you, order books, or even buy online if the shop has its own website.

You can also order these books at your library - librarians love requests.

"I felt the need to email you to let you know that my son Finlay is a huge fan of Hamish. He's just turned two, but one or both of the Hamish books must be read before bedtime every night... and his own bear is now called Hamish."

Title: Puppy Love
Author: Anna Wilson; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Macmillan Children's Books, UK, 2008
ISBN: 978 0330452892 (paperback, RRP £5.99)

I love the designers of this book. Not only did they make a brilliant cover with hardly any work from me, but the inside pages are full of my black and white illustrations, presented in a lively way that breaks up the text and makes this fun story even more attractive for young girls.

Synopsis:
In my life I have wished a million thousand times for a puppy, so was officially over the moon when I finally obtained Parental Consent to get Honey - the most absolutely softest and velvetest Golden Labrador you have ever imagined. Since she moved in we have had some extremely funny adventures while dealing with my weird sister April's frankly unfortunate love crush on Honey's vet. It has all been rather manic but luckily I am an expert in De-Fusing the Tension and Staying Ahead of the Game when it comes to this sort of situation, as you will see. This is the first book in a precisely charming new series about me and Honey.

This lavish book, for age maybe 4 to 10, has clues to solve to find missing paintings in an imaginary art gallery. My illustrations of this art gallery include rooms inspired from Art Nouveau architects Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Horta.

Title: The Student's guide to Exam Success
Author: Eileen Tracy; Illustrator: Moira Munro
Publisher: Open UniversityPress, Buckingham, 2002
ISBN: 0 335 20726 X (paperback) or 0 335 20727 80 (hardback)
There is also a Korean edition.

It might look like nepotism, and it is. The author, Eileen Tracy, is my sister. The student's guide to exam success is a must for teenagers and adults who think they need to cram their heads full of stuff. Eileen taught me her approach when I embarked on some new studies, and it made learning of a very dull subject fun and efficient. Far different from what I'd done in my previous, long and painful academic years.
Oh, and I did the illustrations on the cover and inside.
So this book just has to be incredibly good.

Available from UK bookshops and online shops.
